Gifted Treasures
Gifted Treasures is our afterschool GT (Gifted & Talented) program, designed to nurture and empower young and promising intellects in the Dallas area. By creating memorable experiences, we cultivate a premier atmosphere that combines hands-on learning and practical skills to prepare our participants for future employment and personal growth.
Through our mentorship, our developing leaders are provided access to engaging classes, and interest-discovering activities led by successful professionals for invaluable insights and inspiration. Gifted Treasures also offers enriching afterschool explorations, expanding horizons to foster a well-rounded experience.
At DSR, we are committed to shaping not only athletes, but also advanced thinkers and doers, by building a foundation of knowledge and real-world skills for our future leaders.
Activities & Courses
Parents can expect a comprehensive program where their child will develop practical skills, grow in confidence, and build a foundation of service-minded leadership. By combining hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world application, DSR ensures that students not only discover their unique gifts but also use them to make a meaningful impact on the world around them.
Code Creators Studio
Skill: Coding, logical reasoning, creativity, problem-solving.
Description: Students learn the basics of coding and app development, exploring languages like Python or Scratch to design their own app prototypes. This class fosters creativity while teaching valuable tech skills for the future.
Designer Dreams
Skill: Creativity, design thinking, craftsmanship.
Description: This class introduces the fundamentals of fashion design, from sketching concepts to creating real garments or accessories. Students will develop their first creations and showcase them in a fashion presentation.
Blueprint Builders
Skill: Tool safety, craftsmanship, problem-solving, attention to detail.
Description: Students learn how to safely use tools and create small-scale woodworking projects. They will explore the basics of carpentry and build practical items, gaining an understanding of industrial frameworks.
Innovators Lab
Skill: Creativity, problem-solving, innovation.
Description: A hands-on problem-solving class where students design solutions to real-world challenges using brainstorming, design-thinking, and collaboration. Projects include prototyping and creative thinking exercises.
Money Masterclass
Skill: Financial literacy, critical thinking, decision-making.
Description: A beginner-friendly economics class introducing concepts like supply and demand, trade, and budgeting. Students participate in engaging simulations like running a mock business or marketplace.
VR Visionaries
Skill: Virtual reality (VR) development, creativity, spatial awareness, immersive design.
Description: In this cutting-edge class, students will learn how to develop their own immersive environments and even virtual prototype for products or experiences.
