It’s our pleasure to welcome one of North Texas’s most influential rugby talents to the DSR team, Austin Becker. Known for his high-impact play on the pitch, Austin began his journey with Alliance and Fort Worth RFC, quickly rising to become a standout in North Texas 7s. His career led him from playing to coaching at Spring Hill College, where he took the reins of both the Men’s and Women’s rugby programs, sharing his passion for the game with the next generation of players.

After returning to Texas, Austin joined the Major League Rugby ranks as part of the Austin Gilgronis and currently serves as the Director of Rugby Operations for the Dallas Jackals. With his extensive experience and unwavering dedication, Coach Becker is committed to creating more pathways for Dallas athletes to excel, bringing opportunities for growth and competition at the highest levels. His addition to DSR promises an exciting future for our athletes and community.

Coach Becker’s extensive managerial experience is a tremendous asset to DSR. As Director of Rugby Operations, he’s honed skills in program development, player management, and strategic planning—all of which are crucial as we expand our reach in Dallas. His ability to organize and oversee high-level training environments ensures our athletes receive the structure and resources they need to grow. Austin’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a winning culture aligns perfectly with DSR’s mission, making him a key figure in helping us cultivate disciplined, skilled players and strong leaders on and off the field.
